Utricularia welwitschii is a terrestrial bladderwort native to tropical Africa, occurring in seasonally wet sandy or peaty soils of marshy grasslands from about 900–2,200 m elevation. It produces narrow, oblanceolate leaves a few centimeters long and sends up slender scapes topped with violet to mauve flowers marked with a yellow blotch on the lower lip, with some forms producing entirely yellow blooms. Plants may or may not be flowering at the time of purchase. You will receive a 1" plug of this Utricularia.
