Utricularia subulata seeds

A cosmopolitan species found throughout the Americas, Africa, parts of Asia, and Australia. This adaptable bladderwort grows terrestrially in wet sand, peat, or moss and can even become subaquatic in flooded conditions. It produces abundant small yellow flowers with delicate spurs, and in cultivation it may alternate between showy blooming and cleistogamous phases. Plants may or may not be flowering at the time of purchase. You will receive a 1" plug of this Utricularia.

Seeds from the Utricularia genus are extremely small, ranging between 0.1mm and 0.3mm. Germination can take anywhere from 30-180 days, but generally occur within the first 45 days under optimal conditions. Cold stratification is not needed. I recommend sowing on a mix of washed peat moss and keep them in high humidity until they sprout. 

This offer includes a packet of 50+ seeds per order. Seeds are wrapped in an origami paper envelope and put into a small plastic baggie. Please be careful when opening the packets as the seeds are extremely small (see photo(s)). Seeds are shipped in a padded, tracked envelope without a heat pack.
