Utricularia pubescens (Serra Caraca, Minas Gerais, BRA)

Utricularia pubescens is a terrestrial species endemic to South America and Africa and is a frequent flowerer for me. It has white flowers with purple accents and grows well in normal household conditions. Plants may or may not be flowering at the time of purchase. You will receive a 1" plug of this Utricularia.

Care for this carnivorous plant is simple. I recommend using a mix of 3:1 peat to perlite, using the tray method to keep the substrate constantly wet with water under 50 PPM TDS. I use a 14 hour photo period at about 250 PPFD, but you can use a natural photo period or anywhere from 10-16 hours. I rarely fertilize, but when I do I normally spray the leaves with 500PPM MaxSea fertilizer.
