Utricularia nervosa
|
Utricularia nervosa is a small to medium-sized, perennial, terrestrial bladderwort native to South America, with a distribution centered in the Guiana Shield, the Brazilian Plateau (Goiás, Minas Gerais, and Mato Grosso), Paraguay, and Argentina. It inhabits lowland to montane wet sandy savannas and the margins of swampy depressions, typically occurring at low altitudes but has been found at altitudes up to 1,200 m. The species is named for its prominently 3-nerved leaves, which are relatively large (up to 7 cm) and more persistent than those of many other terrestrial members of its section. It produces slender, often reddish, upright scapes bearing 1–10 bright yellow flowers.
