Utricularia laciniata
|
Utricularia laciniata is a small, facultative annual, terrestrial/lithophytic bladderwort endemic to the central Brazilian plateau (Goiás, Minas Gerais, and the Distrito Federal). It is a specialist of seasonally wet, sandy, or gravely grasslands (campo sujo and campo rupestre) at elevations between 1,000 m and 1,300 m. It thrives in soils that are saturated during the summer rains but become significantly drier during the winter dormancy. The species is named for its highly unusual laciniate (deeply and irregularly fringed) calyx lobes, which sometimes appear as if they have been torn. Flowers are primarily and typically a lavender or purple color. Plants may or may not be flowering at the time of purchase. You will receive a 1" plug of this Utricularia.
Please note this plant will ship bare root via USPS Priority Mail. Heat packs are not automatically included. I offer a 72 and 96 hour heat pack as additions. Please make sure to add one of these options before completing your purchase to be eligible for live arrival guarantee if your day time temperatures are below 45°F.
