Utricularia uniflora seeds
Native to southeastern Australia and Tasmania, this charming bladderwort grows terrestrially or subaquatically in sandy peat and moss around bogs, swamps, and seasonally flooded areas. It produces elegant pale lavender to bluish-violet flowers with a white upper lip and a soft yellow patch on the lower lobe, standing gracefully above the foliage and adding a delicate splash of color during its long blooming season. This form has flower that opens nearly magenta in color, and slowly fades to a light pink color.
Seeds from the Drosera genus are extremely small, ranging between 0.25 and 3mm. Germination can take anywhere from 7-180 days, but generally occur within the first two weeks under optimal conditions. Cold stratification is not needed. Utricularia seeds can form plants extremely fast, but they will often be under the substrate for several weeks to several months before you may notice any growth on the surface.I recommend sowing on a mix of washed peat moss and keep them in high humidity until they sprout.
This offer includes a packet of 25+ seeds per order. Seeds are wrapped in an origami paper envelope and put into a small plastic baggie. Please be careful when opening the packets as the seeds are extremely small (see photo(s)) Seeds are shipped in a padded, tracked envelope without a heat pack. I do not offer untracked shipping for seeds at this time.
