Utricularia smithiana
|
Utricularia smithiana is a terrestrial or affixed-subaquatic bladderwort native to the Western Ghats of India, where it grows in wet lateritic soils, seepages, shallow pools, and seasonally flooded grasslands at mid- to high elevations. It produces narrow, filiform leaves and tall, delicate scapes bearing pale violet to lilac flowers with a yellow palate blotch. It is distinguished from related species by its long, elegantly arched spur and the elongated lower corolla lip. Plants may or may not be flowering at the time of purchase. You will receive a 1" plug of this plant.
Please note this plant will ship bare root via USPS Priority Mail. Heat packs are not automatically included. I offer a 72 and 96 hour heat pack as additions. Please make sure to add one of these options before completing your purchase to be eligible for live arrival guarantee if your day time temperatures are below 55°F.
