Utricularia hispida
|
Utricularia hispida is a terrestrial perennial butterwort native to northern and central South America, occurring across Brazil, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, French Guiana, Colombia, and Peru in wet savannas, sandy soils, marsh edges, and seasonally moist rocky slopes. It produces erect stems with narrow, scattered leaves, often giving the plant a somewhat shrubby or “bushy” appearance compared to most terrestrial species. Its inflorescences are quite variable, with flowers ranging in colors from white to purple to yellow with a pale, often yellow-tinged palate, a combination that helps distinguish it from other tall South American species.
Please note this plant will ship bare root via USPS Priority Mail. Heat packs are not automatically included. I offer a 72 and 96 hour heat pack as additions.
