Utricularia dichotoma ssp. aquilona is an Australian terrestrial species that is part of the dichotoma complex. Named after the Latin word Aquilus, meaning North Eastern, this species is primarily found in the North Eastern portions of New South Wales, where the dichotoma complex is abundant. This subspecies grows on the banks of creeks and rivers in sand and in heathland. It produces small, delicate purple-violet flowers, typically solitary per scape, with a darker central blotch and a rounded lower lip. Plants may or may not be flowering at the time of purchase. You will receive a 1" plug of this Utricularia.
