Utricularia beaugleholei ssp orientalis (Warby Range, Victoria, AUS)

Endemic to the more eastern range of the U. Dichotoma complex, and named as such, Utricularia beaugleholei subsp. orientalis is a terrestrial annual or perennial from Victoria and Tasmania, Australia. Growing in seasonally wet sands, roadside ditches and peaty depressions in open heath. It produces small rosettes with delicate stolons typical of the U. dichotoma group. It is best distinguished by its palate ornamentation, which forms a tight cluster of prominent, narrow yellow ridges bordered by various groups of purple ridges. Plants may or may not be flowering at the time of purchase. You will receive a 1" plug of this plant.

Care for this carnivorous plant is simple. I recommend using a mix of 3:1 peat to perlite, using the tray method to keep the substrate constantly wet with water under 50 PPM TDS. I use a 14 hour photo period at about 250 PPFD, but you can use a natural photo period or anywhere from 10-16 hours. I rarely fertilize, but when I do I normally spray the leaves with 500PPM MaxSea fertilizer.
