Utricularia barkeri (Langi Ghiran, Victoria, AUS)
|
Utricularia barkeri is a perennial terrestrial bladderwort endemic to Southern Australia, Victoria, and Tasmania. It grows in coastal and lowland wet-sand swamps and heath soakages and is closely related to U. dichotoma. It forms small terrestrial mats in seasonally inundated sandy soils or ephemeral wetlands, sending up slender scapes with 1–3 light mauve flowers speckled on the upper lip and a flared lower corolla. It is distinguished from relatives in the U. dichotoma complex by its basiolute bracts and the speckled (not striped) upper corolla. Plants may or may not be flowering at the time of shipment. You will receive a 1" plug of this plant.
Please note this plant will ship bare root via USPS Priority Mail. Heat packs are not automatically included. I offer a 72 and 96 hour heat pack as additions. Please make sure to add one of these options before completing your purchase to be eligible for live arrival guarantee if your day time temperatures are below 50°F.
