Native to Japan, this stunning rosetted sundew is a natural hybrid, of rotundifolia and spatulata, species, makes it highly adaptable and one of the easiest carnivorous plants to grow. It forms a colorful, low-profile rosette of rounded, dew-covered leaves that turn a beautiful bright red under strong light. It is an extremely fast grower that easily forms clumps and is perfect for the beginner to catch tons of gnats!

Care for this carnivorous plant is simple. I recommend using a mix of 1:1 peat to perlite, using the tray method to keep the substrate constantly wet with water under 50 PPM TDS. I use a 14 hour photoperiod at about 250 PPFD, but you can use a natural photoperiod or anywhere from 10-16 hours. I normally spray the leaves with 1,000-2,500PPM MaxSea fertilizer weekly, or as often as I remember.

Please note this plant will ship potted via USPS Priority Mail. Heat packs are not automatically included. I offer a 72 and 96 hour heat pack as additions. Please make sure to add one of these options before completing your purchase to be eligible for live arrival guarantee if your day time temperatures are below 45°F. You will receive a plant that is at least 1-1.5" in diameter.
