Drosera omissa is a species of pygmy sundew endemic to the coastal and inland regions of southwestern Western Australia, with populations stretching from Kalbarri down toward Ravensthorpe. Its preferred habitat consists of deep white sand near wet depressions or lateritic soils within open heathland. This plant is primarily known for being one of the larger pygmy species, producing vibrant pink flowers and is self-compatible, meaning it can pollinate its own flowers, which is a relatively uncommon trait among pygmy sundews, as you typically need two different clones to make seeds.

Seeds from the Drosera genus are extremely small, ranging between 0.25 and 3mm. Germination can take anywhere from 7-180 days, but generally occur within the first two weeks under optimal conditions. Cold stratification is not needed. I recommend sowing on a mix of washed peat moss and keep them in high humidity until they sprout.

This offer includes a packet of 25+ seeds per order. Seeds are wrapped in an origami paper envelope and put into a small plastic baggie. Please be careful when opening the packets as the seeds are extremely small (see photo(s)) Seeds are shipped in a padded, tracked envelope without a heat pack. I do not offer untracked shipping for seeds at this time.

Any photos of plants are representative of what a mature plant/leaves/flower, etc. may look like for reference only. Pictures of seeds are to show the size of seeds from this species. Any photos of seeds are representative of what you will receive and they are not exact seeds you will receive.
