Drosera × hybrida

Drosera × hybrida is a cold temperate, natural hybrid between D. intermedia and D. filiformis. Native to the Atlantic Coastal Plain (most notably in the Pine Barrens of New Jersey), it occurs in open, wet, sandy peat bogs, lake edges, and seepage areas where both parent species grow in close proximity. This plant is sterile and will not produce viable seeds. It is propagated mainly through division and leaf cuttings.

Care for this carnivorous plant is simple. I recommend using a mix of 1:1 peat moss to perlite, using the tray method to keep the substrate constantly wet with water under 50 PPM TDS. I grow them outdoors in zone 8a in full sun, year-round. I don't fertilize these plants at all as they catch plenty of bugs on their own.

You will receive a plant that is at least 1-1.5" in diameter and 1-2" tall. If you order November-February you'll receive a dormant hibernaculum. If you order in March or April you'll receive a plant just coming out of dormancy and it may only be 0.5" tall.
