Native to Australia and New Zealand, this dramatic and highly adaptable sundew is a terrestrial species often found growing in sandy soils near swamps, bogs, and coastal seepages. It is known for its forked leaves, which can divide multiple times to look like giant antlers or elk horns, reaching up to a foot in height. It produces tall flower stalks bearing showy white flowers and is a surprisingly hardy and vigorous grower that can catch larger insects! This form of D. binata is known to fork multiple times per leaf, even on smaller/younger leaves. Some forms of this plant in situ have been found with over 100 points on a single leaf! This species is currently being revised and may be split out into multiple distinct species in the near future.

Seeds from the Drosera genus are extremely small, ranging between 0.25 and 3mm. Germination can take anywhere from 7-180 days, but generally occur within the first two weeks under optimal conditions. Cold stratification is not needed. I recommend sowing on a mix of washed peat moss and keep them in high humidity until they sprout.

This offer includes a packet of 50+ seeds per order. Seeds are wrapped in an origami paper envelope and put into a small plastic baggie. Please be careful when opening the packets as the seeds are extremely small (see photo(s)) Seeds are shipped in a padded, tracked envelope without a heat pack. I do not offer untracked shipping for seeds at this time.

Any photos of plants are representative of what a mature plant/leaves/flower, etc. may look like for reference only. Pictures of seeds are to show the size of seeds from this species. Any photos of seeds are representative of what you will receive and they are not exact seeds you will receive.
