It inhabits \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003elowland to montane wet grasslands\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, marshes, and seasonal swamps, often found scrambling or climbing through surrounding vegetation in sandy or peaty soils at low altitudes except in Malaysia where it is found at altitudes of up to 900 m. This species will be looking for something to wrap its insanely-long inflorescences against, so be prepared to have some bamboo skewers, 3d printed stakes, etc. to help support it. The inflorescences can easily top 12\" tall. Plants may or may not be flowering at the time of purchase.
