I recommend using a mix of 1:1 peat moss to perlite, using the tray method to keep the substrate constantly wet with water under 50 PPM TDS. I grow them outdoors in zone 8a in full sun, year-round. I don't fertilize these plants at all as they catch plenty of bugs on their own. As always, plants can look different with different amounts of light.
